Have you always dreamed of being published in a book? Here is your chance. Reimagine a scene or act of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream from the perspective of the lovers, tricksters, or the faerie royalty—Hermia, Helena, Lysander, Demetrius, Titania, or Puck—and enter for your chance to be published.
Twenty of the highest ranked entries in the Your Midsummer Night’s Dream will be reviewed by a HarperCollins editor. Five of the top twenty entries will be selected by a HarperCollins editor as a top projects and will be considered for publication in A Midsummer Night’s Dream published by HarperTeen in September 2011.
Want to win a chance to be published? Here is what you have to do to enter the A Midsummer Night's Dream Writing Contest:
*Upload a writing project that is 5,000 word in length
*Rewrite a scene or Act from A Midsummer Night's Dream
*Your project can be in the form of a story, play, or poem, but should be around 5,000 words
*You must write from the perspective of one of the following characters in A Midsummer Night's Dream: Hermia, Helena, Lysander, Demetrius, Titania, or Puck
*You Do Not have to write in Shakespearean English, you can use modern language
*You must use Facebook Connect up register and enter this contest even if you are registered to inkpop
*You must use Facebook Connect up register and vote in this contest even if you are registered to inkpop
